Age group birth date information for Little Athletics is viewable HERE. If you / your child does not meet the criteria listed here, then you are either too young to compete (in Tiny Tots) or too old for Little Athletics and must Register with Athletics NSW as outlined below.
Registration Process (Register, Pay and Collect)
There are 2 easy ways to register or the 2017-2018 athletics season but all require the same steps of Register, Pay and Collect registration number patch.
- Register and pay your fees (Credit Card) online with Little Athletics NSW then pick up your registration number and age patch at a designated club registration day OR
- Register online with Little Athletics NSW then attend a designated club registration day to pay your fees (Cash, EFTPOS or Credit Card) and collect your registration number and age patch.
If you were born before September 2000, you are too old for Little Athletics and must register online with Athletics NSW. You will still need to pick up your registration number and age patch at a designated club registration day.
NOTE: All registrations must be done ON-LINE. No hard copy paper registrations will be accepted from 2017/18 onwards.
Please remember to bring along a printout confirming your on-line registration and payment (if you paid online) when you collect your registration numbers. Also, if you are registering for the first time we will need to sight proof of your child’s / children’s age to complete your registration (birth certificate, passport etc).
Club Registration Days 2017 - 2018:
- Friday August 25th, 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Alder Park.
- Friday September 1st, 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Alder Park.
- Saturday September 9th, 9:30am to 4:30pm at Westfield Kotara (near Coles)
- Friday September 15th, 4:30pm - 6:30pm at Alder Park.
Registration Special Note
It is also possible to register on Fridays from 15th September (first competition night) at Alder Park from about 4:45PM immediately prior to competition. HOWEVER we do not encourage this for the first few weeks of the season as there are generally considerable delays at these times leaving many parents and children disgruntled. In some cases the waiting time is in the order of 1 hour and by the time registration has been completed for some children it is too late for them to compete on that night. We strongly urge you to take advantage of the 3 allocated Registration Days detailed above.
Athletes who register on the night of any Friday competition at Alder Park may not have results recorded for that night. This is due to the workloads and time constraints associated with the need to enter all new registration details prior to entering any statistical results club wide on any given week, bearing in mind the high numbers of registrations that have occurred on the first few nights of competitions in recent years.
Prospective new athletes unsure about joining may compete as Visitors for TWO (2) nights (if they have never competed or tried out before) after all registration, insurance and medical forms have been completed. If after two nights the athlete would like to continue with our centre, all fees must be paid in full before they can next compete. No results or points will be recorded for Visitors and no retrospective results or points will be entered if a Visitor registers as some later stage.
All Visitors will be issued with 2 x wrist bands. One band is to be used each visit. Wrist bands are not re-useable and competitors will either need to display a valid wrist band or registration number to compete.
